The Low Down on Ipod Pick 10

In the mornings I am going to let the Ipod select the first 10 songs of the day. Once I get the chance, will will report the random dispursement of music from my Ipod with my thoughts on the flow of the songs, individual comments, etc. Sit back, I will make sure my shuffle is on and read the results!!!

March 8, 2010 Ipod Pick 10

1) The Man Comes Around, Johnny Cash, American IV: The Man Comes Around to
Great song to start the morning
2) Don’t Need A Gun, Billy Idol, Greatest Hits
So very interesting to me---sounds like Billy had a line of something or other and played for a couple of days on the synth

3) Born Under A Bad Sign, Albert King, Heavens Prisoners Soundtrack
You can usually find this disc in bargain bins cheap---and it is packed with some good ones! Albert King is not someone that I have listened a lot to, but clear guitar notes drive the song

4) Black Peter, Ratdog, 4/11/2008 North Charlotte
I am finding that some of the live music in the Volvo, in the morning---not that enjoyable! Good song, just not very speaker supported.

5) Intro, Jay-Z, American Gangster
Great combo---sets the tone for the album, had me want to hear the next song and then led into....

6) It All Comes Down To You, Alison Krauss and Union Station, New Favorite
Slow bluegrass numbe----Awesome! This is what I like about shuffle---gets some good surprises in!

7) Bridge Over Troubled Water, Johnny Cash, American IV: The Man Comes Around
I think Sheryl Crow sings in this song as well with Cash...have to love these American recordings---they speak to me because I really feel that Johnny knew the end was very near.

8) Wishful Thinking, Wilco, A Ghost Is Born

9) Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Raising Sand

10) Ripple, Ratdog, 4/11/2008 North Charlotte
